Grigor Dimitrov may be starting to find some form again ahead of Wimbledon this year.
Dimitrov retired from his match against Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon last year, despite leading the eventual champion by two sets to love.
The Bulgarian suffered a partial tear of his right pectoral muscle, with Dimitrov struggling to return to form since and therefore he has subsequently fallen outside the top 100 for the first time since 2012.
Dimitrov has received a wildcard for Wimbledon this year, and he has now done something for the first time in nearly a year ahead of the grass court major.

Grigor Dimitrov has won back-to-back matches for the first time since Wimbledon
Dimitrov was on a seven-match losing streak coming into the grass court season, with his latest defeat coming in the first round of Roland Garros qualifying.
As a result of his recent form, Dimitrov decided to enter an ATP Challenger 75 level tournament in Dublin, Ireland.
Dimitrov is the eighth seed in Dublin, and he returned to winning ways after beating Chris Rodesch in his first round match 6-3, 6-4.
This was Dimitrov’s first win since March, and he was able to continue his run after beating Irish wildcard Conor Gannon 6-2, 6-3.
After reaching the quarter-finals in Dublin, Dimitrov has now won back-to-back matches for the first time since Wimbledon last year.
This is a good sign for Dimitrov heading into Wimbledon, where he is a former semi-finalist.
Where will Grigor Dimitrov be ranked if he wins the title in Dublin?
Dimitrov is the current world number 169, which is his lowest ranking since 2010.
With Dimitrov having 200 ranking points to defend at Wimbledon this year, he could be due another big drop if he does not continue winning.
Despite winning two matches in Dublin so far, Dimitrov will only gain 12 ranking points due to the calibre of the tournament.
Dimitrov could climb up to as high as world number 138 if he wins the title in Dublin, but he faces a tough test against third seed Kyrian Jacquet in the quarter-finals.
The Dublin Challenger is not the only grass court tournament Dimitrov is entered in ahead of Wimbledon, as he has also received a wildcard to play in the ATP 250 event in Mallorca.
